This Memorial Day, Honor Those Soldiers Who Died That We May Live Free — Resolve You Will Not Let Their Sacrifices Be For Naught

May 28, 2021 by developer

On Memorial Day we honor the soldiers who fought and died that we may live free. From the earliest beginnings of our nation to the present time, they gave the last full measure of devotion.

Today, the freedoms which they so heroically defended, are under attack from within. The Judeo-Christian foundations of our nation are crumbling. Discontent and disorder prevail in our cities. Patriotism is replaced with Globalism. Public virtue is gone. Public depravity dominates.

But freedom is never won by politicians, political speeches, community organizers, or court decisions. It is won by the blood and sacrifice of soldiers.

So, on this Memorial Day I encourage you and your family to take a few minutes to prayerfully remember those who made that ultimate sacrifice. Resolve that you will not let their sacrifices be for naught.

You may want to watch the 3 videos (in BLUE) as a means of solemn remembrance.

Memorial Inspirational Quotes

Amazing Grace

As is tradition, I close this Memorial Day message with a poem by Marine Chaplain Father Dennis Edward:

It is the Soldier

It is the soldier, not the reporter,

who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the soldier, not the poet,

who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the soldier, not the campus organizer

who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.

It is the soldier, not the lawyer,

who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the soldier, who salutes the flag,

who serves under the flag,

and whose coffin is draped by the flag,

who allows the protester to burn the flag.

Also, please remember in your prayers our troops deployed in harm’s way today. Pray for their families and loved ones as they endure the hardship and all the uncertainty that comes with deployment.

God Bless America!

THEIR LAST FULL MEASURE OF DEVOTION

May 23, 2020 by TMLC

Memorial Day is a time to remember the fallen heroes throughout our nation’s history “who gave the last full measure of devotion” so that we can live free.

So this Memorial Day, May 25, 2020—when Americans throughout our country are told by state governments that they are not free to travel, worship in their churches, visit family members, assemble or commemorate Memorial Day by planting a flag on a fallen warriors gravestone—may we highly resolve that our noble dead did not die in vain.

Recall the famous words of Benjamin Franklin:

“Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Freedom is never free. The price for our freedoms was paid for by the men and women we honor this Memorial Day. So, I encourage you and your family on this Memorial Day to take a moment to prayerfully remember those who made that ultimate sacrifice.

Watch this moving tribute to all of our fallen soldiers:

Remember in your prayers our troops deployed in harm’s way. Pray for their families and loved ones as they endure the hardship and all the uncertainty that comes with deployment.

As is tradition, I close this Memorial Day message with a poem by Marine Chaplain Father Dennis Edward O’Brien:

It is the Soldier

It is the soldier, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the soldier, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the soldier, not the campus organizer
who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.

It is the soldier, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the soldier, who salutes the flag,
who serves under the flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
who allows the protester to burn the flag.

God Bless America!

Remember 9/11—A call to action

September 11, 2019 by TMLC

Today America marks the 18th anniversary of 9/11 with solemn ceremonies.  As one people we said we would never forget that day. Nearly 3,000 lives were lost amid the smoldering ruins of the Twin Towers, at the Pentagon and on a grassy knoll in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Our first responders showed incredible bravery. American flags were flying everywhere.  Young and old left their jobs to enlist in the military.

But remembering 9/11 is more than a once-a-year ceremony.

It’s about taking to heart the lesson we should have learned that day—Islam’s goal is to destroy America and the values embodied in our Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights. Because many Americans have forgotten that lesson, Islam’s plan for civilization jihad is working. Islam is defeating us from within, without firing a shot.

Instead of tolerating this evil ideology, we should heed the words of Abraham Lincoln in his 1838 speech. “As a nation of freemen we must live through all time or die by suicide.”

So, on this 18th anniversary of 9/11 let us keep the flame of retribution burning in our hearts.

Sharia Law now exists in many towns, universities, public schools and corporations. When American citizens are afraid to speak out against Islam, they have already submitted to the first rule of Sharia Law—a ban on all speech deemed offensive to Islam and Muslims.

Presidents Bush, Obama and Clinton, as well as other political and religious leaders, have unashamedly proclaimed the big lie that “Islam is a religion of peace.”

Schools across our nation have become Islamic indoctrination centers teaching students that Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance. They teach students the Five Pillars of Islam and the Islamic conversion creed, “There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger.” Parents who speak out against this Islamic indoctrination are condemned by school officials and their own communities.

Public school systems like the Novi School District in Michigan pay professional Islamic propagandists to present mandatory training seminars to their teachers where Islam is glorified, Christianity disparaged, and America bashed—all in the name of diversity and multiculturalism.

Christian religious leaders preaching love invite Muslim clerics into their churches. They naively think that by petting the tiger they will change it into a pussy cat. Never mind the 1,400 years of mortal combat between Christianity and Islam.

We now elect Muslims to Congress who take the oath of office with their hands on the Koran, then use their positions to spew anti-Semitic and anti-American hatred while attempting to whitewash the memory of 9/11.

Click here for an interactive timeline of the attack on 9/11

On this 18th anniversary of 9/11 we honor all those who answered our nation’s call to arms and the first responders. Take the time this 9/11 to remember the brave American soldiers who were killed, wounded or are still suffering, as a result of the wars against Islamic terrorists in Afghanistan, Iraq and other places. Also remember the sacrifices made by our committed law enforcement.

Pray for all our men and women who are in harm’s way today defending our nation.

God bless America!

The 75th Anniversary of D-Day: Let Us Never Forget Their Sacrifices And Ensure They Were Not In Vain

June 6, 2019 by TMLC

June 6, 2019

75 years ago, over 156,000 soldiers from the United States, Britain and Canada, stormed the beaches of Normandy to bring down Hitler and Nazi Germany.

Given the code-name of Operation Overlord, D-Day was the largest amphibious military assault the world has ever seen. General Dwight Eisenhower, the Supreme Commander of the Allied forces, spoke to his troops on the eve of the invasion.

Click the photo below to listen to his message and view archival footage of that historic day.

2,501 Americans died on the first day of battle.

But D-Day wasn’t just the beginning of the end of WWII. Allied troops weren’t just attacking Nazi Germany. This was an attack on totalitarianism to preserve Christian Western civilization.

President Ronald Reagan, during his speech on the 40th Anniversary of D-Day at Normandy, closed with these inspirational words:

“Strengthened by their courage, heartened by their valor, and borne by their memory, let us continue to stand for the ideals for which they lived and died.”

God Bless America,

Video: Ronald Reagan’s Moving Memorial Day Tribute

May 24, 2019 by TMLC

Memorial Day is a time to remember the fallen heroes throughout our nation’s history “who gave the last full measure of devotion” to their country.

Mere words cannot capture the enormity of their sacrifice or the anguish of loved ones they left behind. Yet, the words of that “great communicator,” Ronald Reagan, come pretty close.

I invite you to view President Ronald Reagan’s moving tribute to our fallen heroes as well as a second video dramatically depicting the enduring loss of those left behind. Click here.

Also, on this Memorial Day weekend, remember and pray for our troops now deployed in harm’s way. Pray for their families and loved ones as they endure the hardship and uncertainty of deployment.

Always remember:

“People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.”

I close this Memorial Day message with a favorite poem by Marine Chaplain Father Dennis Edward O’Brien, which pays tribute to our courageous soldiers.

It is the Soldier

It is the soldier, not the reporter,

who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the soldier, not the poet,

who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the soldier, not the campus organizer

who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.

It is the soldier, not the lawyer,

who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the soldier, who salutes the flag,

who serves under the flag,

and whose coffin is draped by the flag,

who allows the protester to burn the flag.

Hear Supreme Court Justices Spar With Lawyers Over Removal Of The Bladensburg Cross: Judge For Yourself

March 4, 2019 by TMLC

March 4, 2019

Last Wednesday, February 27, the U.S. Supreme Court heard historic oral arguments on whether to reverse the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit decision which ordered the removal or disfigurement of a 40-foot tall cross erected in 1925 to memorialize the military service and death of 49 soldiers from Prince George County, Maryland.

An audio link to the oral arguments by the attorneys and piercing questions from the Justices is now available. You can listen by clicking here.

Many Supreme Court observers claim the Justices are leaning towards keeping the cross as it is, where it is.  What do you think? Join the conversation on our Facebook page.
