We Will Never Forget 9/11

September 11, 2020 by TMLC

Click Here for an Interactive Timeline of Events on 9/11

Today marks the 19th anniversary of the horrific September 11, 2001, attack on America and our God-given freedoms we so cherish. Nearly 3,000 Americans were murdered by Islamic terrorists that day. We also remember and honor the bravery of the first responders, many of whom lost their lives trying to save others. Many more are still suffering from their injuries.

This is also the time to remember the thousands of American soldiers who were killed or wounded and are still suffering in the ensuing wars in the Middle East, Iraq, Afghanistan and places unknown. We honor those who answered our Nation’s call to arms. We also remember the sacrifices made by their families.

Please pray for all our men and women in harm’s way defending our Nation and way of life.

Ever since 9/11, the Thomas More Law Center has been fighting against the internal threat to our country posed by radical Islam. And we will continue to do so.

So, on this 19th anniversary of 9/11, let us rededicate ourselves to the defeat of radical Islam. We owe this much to all who lost their lives that day, as well as in the battles that followed.  We will never forget!

God bless America.

President Trump Honors John Adams’ Vision for Independence Day at Mt. Rushmore

July 4, 2020 by TMLC

*John Adams’ July 3, 1776 Letter to His Wife Abigail Regarding Independence Day Celebrations

“I am apt to believe that it [Independence Day] will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.”

President Adams continued:

“I am well aware of the Toil and Blood and Treasure, that it will cost Us to maintain this Declaration, and support and defend these States. — Yet through all the Gloom I can see the Rays of ravishing Light and Glory.”

Happy Independence Day weekend.

God Bless America.

THEIR LAST FULL MEASURE OF DEVOTION

May 23, 2020 by TMLC

Memorial Day is a time to remember the fallen heroes throughout our nation’s history “who gave the last full measure of devotion” so that we can live free.

So this Memorial Day, May 25, 2020—when Americans throughout our country are told by state governments that they are not free to travel, worship in their churches, visit family members, assemble or commemorate Memorial Day by planting a flag on a fallen warriors gravestone—may we highly resolve that our noble dead did not die in vain.

Recall the famous words of Benjamin Franklin:

“Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Freedom is never free. The price for our freedoms was paid for by the men and women we honor this Memorial Day. So, I encourage you and your family on this Memorial Day to take a moment to prayerfully remember those who made that ultimate sacrifice.

Watch this moving tribute to all of our fallen soldiers:

Remember in your prayers our troops deployed in harm’s way. Pray for their families and loved ones as they endure the hardship and all the uncertainty that comes with deployment.

As is tradition, I close this Memorial Day message with a poem by Marine Chaplain Father Dennis Edward O’Brien:

It is the Soldier

It is the soldier, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the soldier, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the soldier, not the campus organizer
who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.

It is the soldier, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the soldier, who salutes the flag,
who serves under the flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
who allows the protester to burn the flag.

God Bless America!

The Second Christmas Day Miracle: Keep It Alive
Only 2 Days Left

December 30, 2019 by TMLC

Six months after America declared her independence from Great Britain, the American Revolution was all but lost. It was an American crisis. George Washington’s Army was chased out of New York and New Jersey. It had lost every battle against the British. Starting out with 20,000 men and 300 cannons, he was left with 2,000 men and 18 cannons. In a few days the enlistment of the remaining half of his Army would expire.

But Washington refused to let the Revolution die. His daring plan was to cross the Delaware River on Christmas night and mount a surprise attack against the most feared Hessian soldiers. He moved his men, horses and cannons on shallow bottom cargo boats, challenging the howling winds, a blinding snow storm and ice flows. The surprise attack on Christmas day 1776 was a resounding success. It saved the Revolutionary War and ensured the freedom we enjoy today.

Yet, America’s existence is threatened with another crisis, one that is spiritual. And it’s your turn to keep alive Washington’s dream and the dream of those patriotic men and women who endured the Christmas day battle of 1776.

Fighting To Restore and Defend Our Christian Nation

December 18, 2019 by TMLC

They Fought for Freedom

and a New Christian Nation

We Fight to Restore and Defend It

Only Two Days Left to make your 2019 Tax-Deductible Gift

Because of patriotic Americans like you, we’ve been able to engage in momentous court battles to preserve freedom and to restore the Judeo-Christian values for which the patriots of 1776 and succeeding generations of patriots fought and sacrificed.

But, sadly, today Christians are being ridiculed and persecuted whenever they stand up for their faith. As you can imagine, the increasing attacks against them is increasing the demand for our services.

As 2019 draws to a close, please make a special year-end tax-deductible gift today to the Thomas More Law Center.

God bless you. God bless America.
