“A Date Which Will Live in Infamy”
Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941

December 7, 2022 by TMLC

Today, the Thomas More Law Center remembers the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor 81 years ago, on December 7, 1941. The attack started at 7:55am local time in Hawaii. After two hours of bombing, 21 U.S. ships were sunk or damaged, 188 U.S. aircraft were destroyed, 2,403 Americans were killed, and 1,282 were wounded. All of this happened while the U.S. and Japan were officially engaging in diplomatic negotiations for possible peace in Asia.

The next day, December 8, President Franklin D. Roosevelt addressed a joint session of the 77th United States Congress, calling December 7 “a date which will live in infamy.”

Continued President Roosevelt,

“But always will our whole Nation remember the character of the onslaught against us.”

Please watch this video of President Roosevelt’s address:

Within an hour of Roosevelt’s speech, Congress declared war on the Empire of Japan.

God Bless you. God bless America.

Today is GivingTuesday and the Fight for Freedom

November 29, 2022 by TMLC

Today, November 29th is #GivingTuesday — a time when millions of Americans donate to their favorite advocacy group.

Freedom of religion, Freedom of speech, Freedom of association, Freedom to bear arms, and the rights of parents to direct the education and upbringing of their children, are fundamental rights guaranteed by our Constitution.

Today, those freedoms are being systematically crushed by a combination of internal forces more dangerous than any foreign adversary — the big tech companies, the mainstream media, cultural elite, universities and public schools, the entertainment industry, radical left-wing politicians, and deep state bureaucrats.

Please take this opportunity to ensure that our fight for Freedom will continue.

Please donate to the Thomas More Law Center, today.

God Bless You.  God Bless America!

Thanksgiving Blessings from the

Thomas More Law Center

November 23, 2022 by TMLC

Ever since the first Thanksgiving Day on October 3, 1789, when President George Washington issued the first Thanksgiving Proclamation in history, America has never stopped giving thanks to Almighty God.

As we gather with family and friends to celebrate this year, let us show our gratitude as we call to mind all that God has provided, and ask that He forgive our national sins and continue to bless our Nation.

Keep the men and women in our Armed Forces in our prayers, as they selflessly serve and defend the liberties we cherish and too often take for granted.

“Let us keep this Thanksgiving Day sacred, thanking God for the bounty and goodness of our nation. As a measure of our gratitude, let us rededicate ourselves to the preservation of the land of the free and the home of the brave.”

– Ronald Reagan, Thanksgiving Day, 1985 –

Wishing you and your loved ones a very Happy Thanksgiving.

God bless you… God bless America.

Sincerely,

9/11 – We Will Never Forget

September 8, 2022 by TMLC

This Sunday marks the 21st Anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attack on America and the God-given freedoms we so cherish.  We remember with anger and anguish the nearly 3,000 Americans murdered by Muslim terrorists in the name of Islam.  We also remember and honor those first responders, many of whom lost their lives trying to save others.

This is also a time to remember the thousands of American soldiers who were killed, wounded or are still suffering, in the ensuing wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and places unknown.  We honor all those who answered our Nation’s call to Arms.  We also remember the sacrifices made by their families.

On this 21st Anniversary of 9/11, let us rededicate ourselves to the defeat of this evil.  We will never forget September 11; and we must keep the flame of retribution burning until Radical Islam is wiped from the face of the Earth.

Please pray for all our men and women who are in harm’s way today in service of our Nation.

God bless America!
